COMPETITION
FORMAT
- 8-week fitness challenge (April
25th - June 20th)
- 3 people per team minimum (if you
don't have teammates we will assign you as a free agent)
- Teams divided by age; ≤25,
26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65
- Orientation & Pre-testing
at the NLP Performance Training Center is Saturday, April 25th
- Participants receive a training
program during
the initial testing to conduct on their own. You do not need
a
gym membership or access to fancy equipment to use these workouts, just
a commitment to your own health and teammates of about 3 hours per week
(three 60-minute workouts)
- Participants can use the free
online training forum to ask questions, find exercise routines,
communicate, and more!
- Championship competition is held
Saturday June 20th at the NLP PTC
EVENTS
- Vertical
Jump - best of 3 trials taken; teams scored
1st-5th; the highest average vertical wins
- Body
Composition (body fat) - measured via calipers
- Push Ups
- 60 seconds to complete as many reps as
possible
- Sit Ups
- 60 seconds to complete as many
reps as possible
- Bodyweight
Squats - 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible
- Fitness
Course
- team with the fastest average time wins; the course consists of
agility, cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength components, 6 places
scored 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1
- Seated
Flexibility - best of
3 trials taken per person
SCORING
- Each
event is scored based on the effort of the individual, points
assigned based on age and performance.
- The
Vertical Jump and
Fitness Course events are scored by the average team height and times,
respectively.
- For
example, if you have three players jump 18,
26,
& 22 inches, the average height for that team would be 22
inches
(18 + 26 + 22 = 66/3 = 22 inch average).
PRIZES
- Trophies
awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams.
- All participants receive a T-Shirt.
- All participants receive a NLP
discount card, which gives you
discounts throughout Manchester at local businesses!
