We're New Hampshire's 1st Dedicated Strength & Conditioning Facility
NLP is a strength & conditioning facility. If you've never heard of that term, it means we are all degreed and licensed instructors and do this as a profession. It means that NLP is owned and operated by coaches who have worked in the professional and college sector of sports and possess the highest possible academic credentials currently available in the industry – we're the first facility to offer this, and one of very few. This also means that results are what let us keep our jobs (both previous and current), not fluff. We use this same philosophy when we work with you. If you don't get results, you leave our facility, and we go out of business.
As a consumer, you should know that the fitness & strength and conditioning industries have no minimum standard. This is very important to help protect yourself from personal injury. Any person can provide him or herself a title, weekend certification, and operate a business. At NLP, we believe this is ethically wrong. Did you know that over exertion or improper execution of physical activity can result in orthopedic (joint) injury and/or possible death? When you physically exert yourself, you are taking a risk. If you are working with an individual who is unaware of risk factors for injury, you are taking a HUGE risk. Ask yourself these questions: "Would I let a doctor prescribe me medicine if he/she has never been to medical school?" or "Would I allow someone to change the brakes on my car if they are not a qualified mechanic?" What risks are you taking when you work with an unqualified, self-titled "trainer." Your personal health…your performance…your ability to be successful? What are you doing to protect yourself?
At NLP we promote accountability both ways (both us and YOU), and we are interested in your fitness, health, and quality of living as pertaining to life. It means that the old SELL SELL SELL mentality you are probably used to at commercial gyms IS NOT our top priority. Our business is your health. And even moreso, our business does NOT grow unless you are happy and see results. But in order for us to help you, you have to let us help you by trying your best to honestly follow our professional guidance and learn/educate yourself about a healthy lifestyle. THAT'S what we're trying to do at NLP. Our relationship with you is a two-way street; we do our best to provide a customized, individually scaled program, you try hard to show up consistent, give an honest effort, and follow our professional guidance. When any of these elements are missing, the likelihood of success decreases.
If you're used to being in a fitness class where EGOs are flying around, it's a big soap opera, or it's about trying to impress others, please know that at NLP we're not interested in that. When you go to commercial gyms and private facilities you run into one of the following common scenarios:
- You're on your own, so you really don't know if you're doing things the right way or getting the best possible results for your time investment. Or you don't bother to show up to the gym because they don't care if you are there anyway.
- You're in a group fitness class that isn't individualized, and is more about social time rather than working hard and seeing results. This is typically a result of disorganization by the lead instructor/management.
- The program you participate in is lead by an individual who really has no substantial qualifications. This is where the ego contest/'1-up manship' kicks in. It's human nature to be insecure and compensate with egos when lack of knowledge exists.
- Your program addresses only a few components of fitness, but falls short in other areas, ultimately leading to plateaus, boredom, or injury. This is also detrimental to long term health, because there are 10 different components to fitness, all of which are equally important. Many people in the profession don't even know this!
At NLP we ARE interested in is helping you FOCUS on YOURSELF for each workout, and investing in your own health along with our professional care and instruction. We want to maximize the efficiency of your individual usage of time during each class to gain the best results possible. Your commitment to improvement and ability to focus during class dictates how well we can help you. If you're interested in trying out an NLP program, we allow new clients to try their first class for free. If you don't see an immediate difference based on the things above, there's no obligation to continue. So come on in, put your work hat on, don't be afraid to ask questions, and be ready to work hard every time you show up, and we promise you won't be disappointed once the program has concluded!
